READ ALL ABOUT IT!

You can get a 'real feel' of what it is like to give a home to a greyhound by sharing the experiences of some people who have actually done it!

Go to the Homer Stories page to see what they have to say .....

CHECK OUT WILSON'S HOMING STORY ...

AND READ ABOUT TOUCH AND GOLDIE

Holly and Jack recently homed Wilson and kindly share their experience on the Homer Stories page.

And Karen's piece about homing Touch and Goldie shows how some greyhounds do need experienced owners and an extra special home.

LOOK AT HOMING FROM A GREYHOUND

POINT OF VIEW

We followed CLYDE'S real-life, real-time story from his homing in September 2019 up to his first anniversary, as he adapted from working life to retirement as a pet.

A SAD PIECE OF NEWS

AND A SPECIAL TRIBUTE

Several weeks ago we celebrated National Volunteers Week & introduced you to Chris & his beautiful old girl, Sylvie - they were our longest serving volunteers. We recently celebrated Sylvies 16th birthday & then had to share the sad news that Chris had lost Sylvie.

On the eve of our Northern Greyhound Gathering we got an awful shock with the news that Chris had passed away unexpectedly.

He would have played a big part in that day, just as he was a big part of GTWY - fostering greyhounds with special needs and being such a regular and helpful presence at events for many many years.  Always there, always with a pocket full of treats for the dogs and helpful words for people.  He will be missed.

Our West Yorkshire branch of the Greyhound Trust national

We have a wealth of experience behind us; so whether you are an 'old hand' or a first-time dog owner in need of support, we will always be just a phone call away.

We usually have around 20 greyhounds waiting for homes - and as one lucky one leaves there will be another waiting to take the place ...

We usually have around 20 greyhounds waiting for their new life as pets.

All of our greyhounds ready for homing are neutered, microchipped and up to date with their inoculations and parasite treatments; and all are given a leather collar & lead and a muzzle when they leave for their new homes.

A donation of £190 is requested when you home one of our greyhounds

WE WELCOME ALL ENQUIRIES
